About the session
We are highlighting the career of Viviene Sandhu, the current Law Society Pro Bono Ambassador (2025). Her expertise spans both litigation and alternative dispute resolution:
Learning About Viviene Sandhu reveals the trajectory of a seasoned Advocate and Solicitor who has practiced in Singapore for over 25 years. Viviene holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the University of Liverpool and is a Barrister-at-Law (Middle Temple). Since her admission to the Singapore Bar in 1998, she has built a robust practice at Clifford Law LLP, where she currently serves as Co-Managing Partner. Viviene’s litigation experience covers all levels of the Singapore Courts. She has particular depth in Employment Law, handling disputes regarding non-compete clauses and retrenchment, and in Family Law, where she manages contested divorces and ancillary matters. She is a strong proponent of Therapeutic Justice, a philosophy she reinforced through the Family Therapeutic Justice Certification Programme (SAL/SUSS). A significant portion of her career is dedicated to mediation and arbitration. Viviene is a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators (FSIArb) and a Principal Mediator at the Singapore Mediation Centre.
