About the session

Mamady Keïta’s apprenticeship and Tam Tam Mandingue Djembe Academy leader Kelvin Kew from Singapore will revisit Budapest to the great delight of local djembe lovers.

The full-day workshop will give you the opportunity to learn about the history, structure, and of course the playing technique of this percussion instrument, which is native to West Africa.

What is unique in this djembe workshop is that Kelvin Kew will teach original rhythms created by Mamady Keïta himself, using the clear and easy-to-follow teaching methodology of the Tam Tam Mandingue Djembe Academy.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or an advanced djembe drummer, we look forward to welcoming you to Kelvin Kew’s workshop in October!
